About The Author
My name is Walter Roger Taylor. I believe in free thought, in all its aspects. Why should we limit ourselves to mankind’s primitive precepts if we have the ability to reach a much grander scale of being in our humanity? Dare yourself to break free from the day-to-day religious and social structures that are now influencing your life. Turn off the TV. Listen to the silence. Read a book. Think… Learn… and Become! I am a direct descendant of Roger Williams, the Founder of Rhode Island.
Roger Williams (December 21, 1603 – April 18, 1683) was an American Protestant theologian, and the first American proponent of religious toleration and the separation of church and state. In 1644, he set up the colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, which provided a refuge for religious minorities. Williams started the First Baptist Church in America; he soon quit it exclaiming, “God is too large to be housed under one roof.” He was a student of Indian languages and an advocate for fair dealings with Native Americans.

Thanks for the add of Without Apology to your blogroll.
Glad to have you!
I have enjoyed substituting tv time for silence and a good book instead
That is wonderful to hear! Welcome!

I’ll also add you to my blogroll. :^)
Thanks man, im gonna add you to my links now
You need a B in your blog roll list.
Cool ancestor…did you actually read my post about Louisiana or was the comment an auto something or other?
Juli
I usually read blogs before I attach my comments to them. If I get a response, I then add their site to my blogroll (if possible).
I just wondered because I had barely hit the publish button and the comment was your latest blog post. Thanks for commenting…
Sometimes, the best thing that you can do is hit the “publish button.” We are of the same mind, you and me…
Love what you’re doing over here! As a published author I’d like to say that I enjoy your writing — ease of reading, comprehensible, very, very understandable — and we loved featuring you on The Thinker.
Btw, thanking you so very much for the add to your blogroll and please keep up the great work!
jps
Thanks Jon-Paul!
Hey, you commented on the blog I’m maintaining for Rick Waugh, opposing Cantor in Va’s 7th House District.
I have a personal blog and I’m fascinated by your ancestor!! I love the quote “God is too large to be housed under one roof.” I’ve been struggling with the confines of organized religion for many years. I will definitely seek out some of his writings. (I’m big on reading and writing-my favorite things!)
Also, I love genealogy and I’ve discovered many ancestors who came from Western Europe to ports in MD & PA area & migrated to North Carolina. Thank you for commenting on Rick’s blog, and I will be checking back on yours. Would love for you to stop by my blog sometime.
Best,
Julie Brown

Hi Julie,
Thanks for the compliment about my ancestor! I too, found his statement to be extremely poignant. Instead of just going to church every Sunday and listening to a simple sermon, we should all decide for ourselves what is best for our own souls. Personally, I dance to the beat of my own drum. I hope you do too!
Warmly,
W.
Hi Walter,
Thanks for the response at my blog. I hope you come back. After looking around at your blog (love this theme, by the way) I can see where we could start some interesting conversations.
I’ll be back,
Tanya
I’ll look forward to your insights!
Thank you for checking out the blog and making such a great comment on a post I found funny at first.
Ill be checking out your blog. i like the way you express yourself.
Blessings buddy!
Thank you Felipe for the wonderful compliment! Blessings to you as well!
Hi! I have read your comments on other blogs and will read more of your blog. That’s cool you’re descended from Roger Williams, a man who had it right all those years ago! I’m trying not to watch as much TV, especially now with the Gulf coverage (and my blood pressure) becoming worse every day. I have been reading blogs more, but need to start looking at my books again! Right now, because the Tennessee flood was so overlooked, Rick Sanchez is devoting his CNN show to the Arkansas flash flooding.
I feel so sorry for those folks. Can you imagine going to bed, then hours later, fighting for your very survival? So tragic.
Attending Roger Williams University (RWU) from 1994-1997 gave me an introduction for the first time to the historic Roger Williams, founder of Rhode Island etc… To think that someone existed in that context is as strange to me as an episode of Doctor Who, it blows my mind every time! Long Live Roger Williams!
Very well written posts. oh and thanks for checking my site out.
Thanks for contributing to my blog, W.R. I’ll add your good site to my bloglist.
Thanks! I’ll add yours to mine as well.
Well, I discovered you on my favorite blog, American Everyman…… I was impressed with your copy of “1984″…. I read it many years ago and I have been trying to find a copy of it to re-read….. and no, the libraries (around here) do not house his books any longer. I will enjoy reading it again on your site.
So, guess I am saying, your site will be my 2nd favorite…. place to go…. maybe even better than Reddit.
Keep the soul and mind active….. great site….
thanks
Hi Jan,
I’m glad I was able to help. I posted “1984″ because there are many people in the world that haven’t had the chance to read the book. Hopefully now, they’ll have the opportunity.
I look forward to your future comments, my friend!
Hi, W.R., thanks for adding this week’s Curtain Raiser to your blog. I’m in the process of redesigning the site, so to have a special space for such cases. Cheers. Wesley
Hi Wesley,
That’ll be great. I’m looking forward to it.
Cheers!
W.
Hey, Walter, a special preview of tomorrow’s Curtain Raiser for you.
Check it here

Let me know if it doesn’t work; I’ve never sent a preview like that before, so I’m not sure. Keep up with your great job. Wesley
Hello The Destructionist,
I’m trying to find the source document for the battlefield command and control image that is posted here. The image name is “display_image-cgi.jpg” I can’t find a link to where this image originally came from so I can see the details of the system.
Thanks,
John
Hi John,
I would try and contact Aaron Dykes at Infowars.com… He is one of the original authors of this article.
Sorry I couldn’t be of more help…

Hey, Walter, I wonder whether you caught this today on Neatorama:

There’s also a mention to this Smithsonian article:

Keep up the stellar work, as usual. Best
Wesley
Very cool, Wesley! It always amazes me how much more I can learn about my ancestor. Thanks for the links!

Walter, I have been writing my story for a while now without any results. You can find it at “New police weapon against homeless” on homeless forums and “Historic coverup of FBI and police crimes currently taking place” on the Urban 75 message board. Bill Anderson soxin8@hotmail.com
Sweet heritage! My roots go back to Confederate Guerillas who rode with William Quantrill, ‘Bloody’ Bill Anderson, and outlaws Jesse and Frank James (Vaughan family), German Crusaders (Spangler family), Irish Kings (Moore family), and the Hebrew House of David (Shaltiel family).
